List songs in here that you think would be inspiring. Remember that all copyrighted songs cannot be used in the game. So just inspiration!

I have a couple samples available on my webserver: http://sapiensantiquus.endofinternet.net/spacerts/

One is a sort of majestic theme, along the lines of Star Trek, or the BSG theme:
YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.
It's, of course, a very short sample, but I just wanted to give an idea of what I was thinking.

The other one is actually an older song that I started writing in Garage band. It's kind of a an ambient jazz/techno song. If people like it, I would probably need to purchase a copy of garage band (I sold that computer). But I wouldn't mind the expense Smiley.

For some reason excessive editing of this post has been causing me problems.... a couple other videos I had on here got erased. Anyway, I just also wanted to mention that I like the music from Halo and Starcraft and I could probably produce something similar.

StarCraft Music : TerranLQ | LQ+ | HQ

StarCraft music Protoss part 2LQ | HQ

Halo - On A Pale HorseLQ | HQ

Halo - A Walk In The WoodsLQ | LQ+ | HQ

La Mujer de mi Hermano - ThemeLQ | HQ

This last one may seem like an odd choice, but I honestly think something like that would sound good in a space rts. Like maybe in a loading or briefing screen?

Good movie, good soundtrack. I figured it was worth reviving an old post that is still relevant. Cheesy
There are other good songs on the soundtrack, but this one i think is most appropriate for a game soundtrack.

I think that it's kinda... noisy somehow. But then again, I think it sounded better in the actual movie, so it might just be a failed recording.
